ELDC Starlets

ELDC Starlets is Emma Louise Dance Clubs' performance and competition team. ELDC Starlets undertake extra dance classes, perform at community events and enter dance competitions.

ELDC Starlets are taught by Emma and Kelly. ELDC Starlets perform several different dance styles including Hip Hop, Pom Dance, Lyrical & Show Dance. Children compete each team practice for the ELDC Starlets Superstar Award.

Joining the team requires a big commitment from both children and parents/carers. If you are interested in your child joining ELDC Starlets please contact us for more information.

Abbi

Abbi joined ELDC age 4.

Abbi has danced in Primary Ballet & now takes Junior Ballet. Abbie has been taking Popdance Kids online during lockdown.

Why did you join ELDC Starlets? I joined Starlets because I thought it would be fun.

What is your best ELDC Starlets memory? All of them. The one in the blue dresses for Kirkcolm Senior Citizens Christmas Party.

What do you love about ELDC? I love everything about ELDC.

What is your future dance dream? My future dance dream is to be famous. I want to be on a stage. I want to go to a dance school. That would be cool.

Katie

Katie joined ELDC age 3

Katie has danced in Junior Ballet & Popdance Kids. She now takes Popdance Teens and has been taking Senior Ballet online during lockdown.

Why did you join ELDC Starlets? I joined starlets to improve my dance technique and to participate in competitions.

What is your best ELDC Starlets memory? Practicing for the online dance competition last year.

What do you love about ELDC? I love everything about it. It makes me happy to dance with a team. Everyone in ELDC is kind and caring.

What is your future dance dream? My future dance dream is to go to a dance academy and become a professional dancer.

Rubie

Rubie joined ELDC age 3

Rubie has danced in Primary Ballet & now takes Junior Ballet. Rubie has been taking Popdance Kids online during lockdown.

Why did you join ELDC Starlets? I wanted to join Starlets because I love dancing.

What is your best ELDC Starlets memory? My favourite thing with Starlets was to be on the stage at the Christmas show. I loved it. I also love this new dance competition.

What do you love about ELDC? I love ELDC because I get to move around and dance about lots and be strong. I like seeing the other girls in our group, they are nice.

What is your future dance dream? I would love to be a real ballerina! I want to learn more dancing. I would really love to be on stage with people watching me and on the TV.

Kaiya

Kaiya joined ELDC age 3

Kaiya has danced in Primary & Junior Ballet & now takes Senior Ballet. Kaiya is a class assistant for Primary Ballet.

Why did you join ELDC Starlets? I wanted to take part in competitions and I was hoping to learn new dance styles and dances

What is your best ELDC Starlets memory? As we haven’t been able to dance together for quite a while, I enjoyed the filming we did in different places to bring us all together virtually in one dance. Also enjoying the award city challenges.

What do you love about ELDC? Emma, as she has taught me everything I know about ballet and dance. She has given me the opportunity to help teach ballet lessons with the little ones which has improved my confidence. I love all the people who attend classes, we’re like a little family. I enjoy the shows that we do and all the opportunities Emma provides us with. 

What is your future dance dream? Be a professional dancer or work for Scottish Ballet
