Emma Louise Dance Club offers children the opportunity to take medal tests. Medal tests are not compulsory. Children will only be entered for a medal test if they have reached the required standard. Medal tests give children the opportunity to be accessed and graded by Emma Louise Dance Cub teachers. Children taking a medal test will be required to attend an examination day. Medal tests consist of a warm up, dance routine (2 contrasting dances for Senior Bronze and above), and curtsey or bow. Children are assessed on presentation, technique and musicality. Children will receive a progress report and if successful a certificate and medal or award.
We also offer some pupils the opportunity to take Teacher Ongoing Assessment (TOA). TOA’s are suitable for children who are unable to attend an examination day or who would struggle in an examination setting. TOA’s take place during class time and give children the chance to be accessed and graded by Emma Louise Dance Club teachers. Children are assessed in class on presentation, technique and musicality.
Medal test and TOA’s require children to work extremely hard in class and undertake extra practice at home to prepare for the exam.
Medal Test Uniform
Children must be correctly dressed in official Emma Louise Dance Club uniform for medal test and TOA's [updated 2th August 2018].
